Housebuilder Avant Homes East Midlands has acquired a nine-acre site in Sutton-in-Ashfield and been granted planning permission for an 84-home, £22.8m residential development.

Called Silverhill Edge and located off Fisher Close, the development will comprise a mix of two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom practically designed, energy efficient homes.

Work is expected to start on site in early autumn, and it is anticipated the first homes will be released for sale in November. A show home is scheduled to open in spring next year and the first residents are expected to move into their new homes in summer 2026.

Avant Homes has also committed to community contributions of £725,000 which will go towards improving local education, healthcare and public transport infrastructure.
