Warmer homes and lower bills for 750 households across Lincolnshire

750 households in Lincolnshire are now benefitting from warmer homes and lower bills, thanks to a programme from Lincolnshire Housing Partnership (LHP) and property maintenance contractor Fortem to install new windows in people’s homes.

The 750th milestone installation took place at LHP resident Magdelana Ostrowska’s home in Boston, who was presented with flowers to mark the special occasion.

The window installations have taken place across Lincolnshire, from Grimsby in the north to Boston in the South, as part of LHP’s continued investment in maintaining and improving homes.

This is part of LHP’s £150 million Decent Homes programme with Fortem, which will see the organisations upgrade kitchens, bathrooms, and roofs across 12,000 homes over 10 years.

Additionally, LHP awarded a major retrofit contract to Fortem in October 2025 to improve the energy efficiency of a further 1,243 homes.

Gary Kemp, Senior Operations Manager at Fortem, said:

“We’re incredibly proud to have hit this key milestone alongside our partners at LHP. Every installation is another home improved and another step towards meeting our shared sustainability goals.

“At Fortem, Every Home Matters and completing our 750th window installation is a great reflection of the collaboration between our teams and the joint commitment to putting residents first – making a difference to the communities we serve.”

Danny Wyer, Corporate Head of Asset Management at LHP, said:

“The window installations are just one part of a wider, long-term programme to deliver our Great Homes and Strong Communities strategy. Through these upgrades, we’re not only helping to reduce carbon emissions but also demonstrating our commitment to providing safe, warm homes for our residents.

“Our partnership with Fortem is helping to transform homes across Lincolnshire, delivering improvements that will benefit people and the planet for years to come.”
