85 new social rented homes for London

Residents are moving into Flint Housing’s new social rented homes at the brand-new North Kensington Gate development in Hammersmith and Fulham.

  • Eighty-five new social rented homes at North Kensington Gate in Hammersmith and Fulham are now welcoming residents.
  • Flint Housing’s homes are part of a wider development of 208 homes from City & Docklands Limited and delivered by North Kensington Gate Limited and O’Shea.
  • Flint Housing has delivered additional social rented homes beyond initial planning requirements for nomination to four separate housing waiting lists.
  • This achievement was made possible through close partnership with the Greater London Authority and the London boroughs of Hammersmith and Fulham, Brent, and Ealing.
  • Pinnacle Group will provide housing management services for residents on Flint Housing’s behalf, while James Andrews Residential will oversee the block management.

Registered provider of social housing, Flint Housing has welcomed residents to 85 new social-rented apartments in the North Kensington Gate development.

Residents are already settling into their new homes with more than 80 per cent of homes occupied.

The 85 new homes at North Kensington Gate have been completed to a very high specification, and are spacious, modern and energy efficient. The homes also prioritise safety and security of residents throughout the building.

The project was developed in close partnership with OPDC, the Greater London Authority, Hammersmith and Fulham, Brent, and Ealing. The collaborative approach will enable long-term tenancy sustainment, while addressing crucial shortfalls in London’s housing needs.

Eugene Schreider, Chief Executive Officer at Flint Housing, said:

“North Kensington Gate is a landmark development for Hammersmith and Fulham, and it’s incredibly exciting to have Flint Housing residents moving into their new homes. It has been a special project with several opportunities for progressive partnerships that has enabled Flint to provide newly built, secure and affordable homes, where residents can feel settled and supported, providing a firm foundation for their lives.”

Angelique Noble, Director of Customer Experience at Flint Housing, said:

“We have worked closely with our housing management provider, Pinnacle, and local authority partners to ensure efficient scheme mobilisation and to support residents moving into their new homes.”

Key worker, Dionne Pearce, was one of the first to view a flat at North Kensington Gate alongside her three children and was able to move into her new home in time for Christmas.

Dionne Pearce said:

“As we all know moving can be such a stressful time, especially with little ones and with it being so close to Christmas. A huge thank you to Ella and the NKG team for making the transition so smooth and easy.  Thank you so much for making the move to my new home an enjoyable experience.”

Flint Housing intends to deliver over 1,000 new affordable homes over the next three years and is in active discussions to bring forward important additional delivery across London.
