Launch of final homes at Canal Quarter marks last opportunity to buy at Kingsbrook

Local housebuilder Barratt Homes has unveiled the final collection of homes at Canal Quarter, marking the last opportunity to buy at its Kingsbrook development in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. The release of these remaining homes comes as the wider Kingsbrook community celebrates a significant milestone, reaching ten years since the development first launched.

Comprising 85 two-, three- and four-bedroom homes, the final phase at Canal Quarter represents the last opportunity for buyers to secure a brand-new home at Barratt Homes’ flagship Kingsbrook community. Located at the heart of the development, Canal Quarter is just a short stroll from the vibrant Canal Basin, which features local conveniences including a shop, bakery and café, alongside a travel hub with regular buses connecting to Aylesbury town centre and the train station.

The new homes are also ideally placed for those who enjoy the outdoors, with Kingsbrook located close to the Grand Union Canal and surrounded by acres of green space. First residents at Canal Quarter are expected to move in as early as June 2026, with final completions anticipated by 2028.

Delivered in partnership with the RSPB and Buckinghamshire Council, Kingsbrook is an award-winning, nature-first community that has received national recognition for its biodiversity-led approach to placemaking. Once complete, Kingsbrook will deliver 2,450 homes (20% of which will be affordable) alongside 500 acres of public green space, including a 250-acre nature reserve and visitor centre known as Kingsbrook Meadows.

Designed with families in mind, Kingsbrook already offers a wide range of amenities, including a primary school – with a second opening this September – alongside a secondary school and two independent nurseries. Local services and shops include Kingsbrook Dental, the Kingsbrook Community Hub, Tesco, Wenzel’s bakery and Esquires café. This spring, further greenspaces will be unveiled, including new play parks, a multi-use games area and an amphitheatre, as well as additional footpaths connecting residents to the canal and beyond.

“This year marks an important milestone for Kingsbrook as we celebrate ten years since the first homes were built at our Aylesbury community. It’s a proud moment to now be releasing the final collection of homes at Canal Quarter, bringing this chapter of the development to a close.

“Canal Quarter represents the last opportunity for buyers to secure a brand-new home at Kingsbrook. We’re incredibly proud of how the community has evolved over the past decade, and we anticipate strong interest in these final homes from buyers looking to become part of an established, thriving neighbourhood at the heart of the development.”

Three and four-bedroom homes are currently available at Canal Quarter from £390,000 (prices subject to availability). To find out more about Kingsbrook or Barratt Homes, visit www.barratthomes.co.uk or call 0333 355 8500.
