Top 10 UK housebuilder, Keepmoat, has delivered more than half of the properties at its flagship bungalow scheme in Chapel House after construction started in January last year.
The exclusive development now called ‘Willow Glade’ will deliver 45 new build bungalows at the former Parkway School site, representing a £12 million investment to the area.
Designed and bespoke for residents over the age of 55, all of the homes include accessible and adaptable features, ensuring they meet the diverse needs of people seeking a home into older age.
Pat and Denise moved into their home at Willow Glade earlier this year. They said:
“We’ve been in our new two bed bungalow for five weeks now, we’re very pleased with it and are settling in nicely.
“The layout of our new home is great and it’s amazing to have an ensuite bathroom. We also particularly love our bifold doors that lead to our sunny back garden. We’re excited to welcome more people to the neighbourhood and the staff at Keepmoat have been really helpful as we’ve settled in.”
Each bungalow includes step-free access, built-in ramps and advanced energy-saving features to support residents to limit energy usage and cost.
Ian Worgan, Regional Managing Director at Keepmoat, North East, added:
“At Keepmoat, we’re proud to be delivering a diverse offering in Chapel House. This development represents more than just homes, it’s about creating a sustainable, inclusive community for those over the age of 55.
“The high quality bungalows being delivered will also feature enhanced energy efficiency standards, helping residents save on energy bills and are located close to amenities.”
