Vistry Group, the UK’s leading provider of mixed-tenure homes, has secured unanimous reserved matters planning approval for Parcels 6, 11-12, and 13 at Finchwood Park in Wokingham from Wokingham Council.
The approved parcels, which benefited from a previous outline planning permission, will deliver a combined total of 357 high-quality new homes as part of the wider Finchwood Park development.
Parcels 11 and 12, which have been forward sold to Man Group’s Community Housing team, will deliver 161 homes comprising one to four-bedroom apartments and houses across social rent, affordable rent and shared ownership tenures. With reserved matters planning now granted, construction is underway on Parcels 11 and 12, with the first completions on these parcels expected in February 2027.
Parcels 6 and 13 have also been granted planning approval and will be brought forward as part of later phases of the development. Parcel 6 will deliver 140 homes, with 91 for private sale through Bovis Homes and 49 affordable, while Parcel 13 comprises 56 homes, of which 20 will be affordable. The homes will be fully electric and for the first time in Vistry’s Thames Valley region, built using timber frames manufactured at Vistry’s off-site facility. Each home will also be fitted with EV charging infrastructure, supporting energy efficiency and sustainable living.
These new homes will be delivered alongside major community infrastructure, including public open spaces, allotments, sports pitches, a pavilion, and a neighbourhood centre supporting the creation of a healthy, sustainable and inclusive community.
