Suspended deck systems are the unseen hero of many successful paving/decking schemes. For hidden beneath ultra flat porcelain tiles or composite boards, for example, is a carefully planned substructure of plastic or metal pedestals supporting the surface finish.
Not only are suspended decks quick and clean to install (no sand or mortar required), they even-out height differences across site, make flush fitting with doors etc a breeze, deliver built-in drainage and provide a void for services. Paving/decking can be removed for access to the void, facilitating maintenance.
Wallbarn is the UK leader in pedestal and substructure systems, with more than 40 years of experience. Recent projects include the ground-breaking outdoor critical care unit at King’s College Hospital, London, and the newly renovated Harrods Helideck event space.
Wallbarn has also completed public paving schemes and supplied solutions for restaurants, offices and hotels, quite literally paving the way for designers to furnish these spaces with planters, seating, tables etc.
Wallbarn is confident that it has solutions for most installations. And, because it holds industry-leading stock levels at its London base, can get product to site quickly.
