A classic stove style with the convenience of gas
For anyone who loves the traditional appearance of a wood stove but prefers the ease and convenience of gas, the new DRU Global Ivar 5 CF offers an appealing alternative.
Based on the popular Dik Geurts Ivar 5 wood stove, this compact model has been designed specifically for installation into UK chimneys, making it equally at home in a period property, country cottage or more contemporary interior.
At its heart is DRU’s TrueFlame® burner, creating high, dancing flames around a realistic log bed. A Ceraglass interior enhances the effect, producing an impressive three-dimensional view of the fire.
With efficient performance, low maintenance and instant controllable warmth, the Ivar 5 CF provides the atmosphere of a traditional fireplace without the need to store or handle logs. It is available for natural gas or LPG, with an RRP of £2,095.
Electric fires enter a new era
Electric fires have become an increasingly popular feature of contemporary interiors, particularly with the growth of media walls and bespoke fireplace installations.
The new DRU Valo range combines modern LED technology with real wood to create a more natural-looking fireplace display. Its Purewood log set features individual pieces with their own unique wood grain, complemented by wood chips and a luminous glow bed to produce a warm, organic effect.
Available in 130cm and 150cm widths, Valo can be configured as a single-sided, two-sided or three-sided fire, providing plenty of scope for creative interior design.
And at just 29cm deep, it can be incorporated easily into media walls and false chimney breasts without taking too much space from the room. Operation is by remote control or app, making it a particularly convenient option for modern living.
Prices start at £2,020 for the 130 model and £2,130 for the 150.
Make a statement with real wood

For larger rooms and dramatic open-plan interiors, the new Dik Geurts Instyle Triple U700 turns a wood fire into an architectural feature.
Built into a feature wall or room divider, its three-sided design provides an expansive view of the flames from different areas of the room – ideal for creating a visual connection between living, dining and kitchen spaces.
With a generous 8–12kW heat output, the Instyle Triple U700 combines the atmosphere and natural warmth of burning wood with modern technology. The DG Smart Assist air control system can be operated using a remote control or app, helping to make managing the fire easier.
