Croudace Homes is helping to introduce a new generation to bowls, following a £300 donation to Whiteknights Indoor Bowls Club.

The donation from Croudace Homes will be used to purchase new junior bowls for young members. It will give them access to the specialist equipment they need, making it easier to participate and develop their interest in the sport. The funding comes as Whiteknights Indoor Bowls Club looks to grow the junior team and encourage more young people to take part in the sport.

Based in Reading, Whiteknights Indoor Bowls Club provides opportunities for almost 1000 people of different ages and abilities to take part in the sport.

Simon Halfhide, Sales and Marketing Director at Croudace Homes South Thames, said: “This was a great opportunity to support Whiteknights Indoor Bowls Club to see the club invest in the future of the sport and create more opportunities for the next generation to get involved.”

Local clubs play such an important role in bringing communities together, and we hope this donation will allow younger members to meet new people, learn new skills and enjoy being part of a club.

We are really keen to develop the junior side of Whiteknights Indoor Bowls Club and encourage more young people to get involved in bowls; however, purchasing the right equipment can be costly. The funds from Croudace Homes will help us to continue making the sport more accessible to the next generation.”
