The first images of homes being built at Bellway’s Mount Royal Gardens development, in the Hampshire village of Four Marks, have been unveiled.
Construction work is now well underway on the project, which will deliver 60 new homes, including 24 affordable properties for local people, and a new children’s play area, off Lymington Bottom.
The development has now opened to visitors and the first homes are due to be ready for their new owners to move into by Christmas.
Jon Rance, Sales Manager for Bellway Wessex, said: “These computer-generated images show how we have designed a development which will blend in with its rural surroundings on the edge of the South Downs.
“There will be green open space, tree-planting and wildflower meadow to promote biodiversity, and cycleways and pathways which will make it easy to get about on foot or by bike.
“The materials being used in the construction of the new homes have also been carefully chosen to ensure they reflect those in the local area, with brick complemented by dark weatherboarding and hanging tiles.
“Architectural details such as gables and tiled porches also add interest and variety to the street scene.
“These will be highly energy-efficient properties, with solar panels to generate renewable electricity for all homes and reduce carbon emissions, and electric vehicle charging points to make it easier to use greener transport.
“Work is progressing well and we have now opened a sales centre on site. We can help potential customers find out more about the range of houses available here and choose options which will make it feel like home from the day they move in.”
