Create a distinctive, future-ready building envelope while addressing project-specific performance requirements. Vieo combines a refined standing-seam aesthetic with flexible roof and wall system options.
Designing Elegance into Industry
Bristol’s Whitchurch Enterprise Park is a £6m industrial workspace development created by Bristol City Council to address the shortage of incubation and expansion space for the area’s start-ups and SMEs. Designed by AHR Architects, the project’s 14 site units, including over 2,600m² of workspace, were developed to shell-only specification allowing occupiers as much flexibility as possible. Units were constructed by main contractor Bray & Slaughter. Subcontractor, Progressive Systems, worked closely with Euroclad to achieve the development’s ambitious goals.
To achieve a minimum BREEAM rating of ‘Very Good’, the Whitchurch development had several environmental challenges to meet. The architects had created a bold and innovative design incorporating vibrant colours. Vieo wall and roof systems were chosen for the project for their ability to combine stunning aesthetics and project specific performances, whilst wall and roof sheets would effectively meet architectural demands through tailored sizing and detailing.
Vieo is Euroclad Group’s standing seam metal cladding range for roof and wall applications. Its clean appearance creates a consistent design language across the building envelope; warm roof and cold roof options and insulated or uninsulated wall build-ups allow the specification to be tailored to each project. Vieo can be supplied in straight, curved and tapered formats, with selected variable widths and vertical or horizontal wall applications. Availability depends on material, geometry and manufacturing constraints. Steel/aluminium availability information can be found on Euroclad’s Vieo Wall and Vieo Roof Profile web pages. A wide choice of colours and finishes are available to provide design flexibility across wide-ranging sector projects.
Performance-Led, Specification-Driven
Vieo’s project specific performance features and compatibility with energy-efficient installations supported the project’s objectives. Its range of colour choices and finishes helped bring the project’s striking colour scheme to life, whilst still meeting the strict environmental targets. Vieo systems are also compatible with renewable and low-energy technologies, including solar PV and low-energy ventilation.
Vieo Warm Roof and Vieo Warm Wall were both specified with U-values of 0.15 W/m²K, and the completed development achieved BREEAM Excellent.
