Cameron Homes Launches £19m Bramley Fields Development in Southwell, Nottinghamshire
Staffordshire-headquartered Cameron Homes has launched its seven acre Bramley Fields development in the Nottinghamshire minster town of Southwell. The £19m project is creating a new community of 45 energy-efficient family homes, next to Norwood Park Golf Centre and within easy reach of the historic heart of the town.
Accessed off Lower Kirklington Road, the development is positioned in a sustainable location with bus routes close by and walkable to the bustling town centre shops, restaurants, amenities and 12th Century Grade I Listed Southwell Minster. Bramley Fields is within the catchment for the highly regarded Minster School, which is 1.8 miles away.
Cameron Homes has been constructing new homes across the Midlands for over 30 years. The five star HBF housebuilder has now opened the doors to Bramley Fields’ five-bedroom show home and is taking reservations. Off-plan prices for the two-, three-, four-, and five-bedroom semi-detached and detached family houses range from £345,000 to £594,950, with a range of incentives available worth up to £20,000. Two- and three-bedroom bungalows are priced from £330,000. A selection of homes will become available to move into from next month.
Guy Bebbington, managing director of Cameron Homes, said:
“Southwell has seen very little development in recent times, so we’ve had a very busy launch, with five of the homes already reserved.“This development has been so well received by local people, so we feel immensely privileged to be on site constructing beautiful new homes in such a prized location. Families in Southwell and nearby villages such as Farnsfield want to move into energy efficient homes designed for modern living, while older people are pleased that we’re building nine bungalows.“With construction well underway, we are holding a muddy boots event on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st September to enable prospective purchasers to safely explore the site and walk round a selection of house types. Welcoming the first new residents into Bramley Fields over the coming weeks and months will be an exciting milestone.”
The five-bedroom Richardson show home offers 2,154 sq ft of modern living space, featuring a large open-plan kitchen, dining and family area with bi-fold doors, together with an additional set of French doors from the living area onto the rear garden. The five spacious bedrooms are designed around a central staircase, which creates an opulent wow factor. There is an ensuite off the principal bedroom, while bedrooms two and three benefit from a shared ensuite with Jack and Jill doors.
A children’s play area is being created as the centrepiece of the design-led Bramley Fields development, alongside new habitats for local wildlife. Green buffer zones around the edge of the development will protect existing on-site ecology and retain and enhance local wildlife corridors. There will also be native tree and shrub planting to benefit local bird populations, with bat and bird boxes installed within the walls of new dwellings.
The design approach for the new homes reflects the traditional dwellings found locally, featuring pitched roofs, overhanging eaves and casement windows. Car parking is provided on plot, via driveways and garaging. Visitor parking bays are dispersed across the site.
The homes at Bramley Fields are designed to a high EPC rating, ensuring future residents can significantly lower their carbon footprint and benefit from energy savings. Smart Hive thermostats, electric vehicle car chargers, and solar PV panels all installed as standard, with the option to upgrade to battery storage to maximise renewable energy usage. The stylish fitted kitchens feature integrated Bosch or Electrolux appliances. Bathrooms, en-suites and cloakrooms have contemporary white sanitaryware, with Porcelanosa floor and wall tiles.
The new development is eight miles away from Newark, 12 miles from Mansfield, and 15 miles from Nottingham. Rolleston train station is under four miles from the development, providing regular services on the Nottingham to Lincoln line. Newark Northgate train station provides frequent 78 min services to London Kings Cross.
Established in 1994, Cameron Homes is currently delivering over 200 homes across 11 live developments and has a pipeline of future sites expected to deliver circa 1,000 new homes.
