The UK Boxings range of cost-effective and decorative column casings is designed to conceal structural steel or concrete supports to help improve project aesthetics, while offering specifiers a choice materials and finish options.

Alongside our circular and square casings, which are manufactured from UKTR compliant MDF and plywood, respectively, the range also includes aluminium and glass reinforced plastic (GRP) options, as well as glass reinforced gypsum (GRG).

While the MDF, plywood and GRG casings are designed for use only on interior applications, both aluminium and GRP can be specified on both interior and exterior projects, as they are inherently corrosion and weather resistant.

An exceptionally wide choice of finishes is available, which includes PPC coatings in BS and RAL colours for the metal products, as well as textured and embossed surfaces, while BS and RAL colour gel-coats can also be specified for GRP column casings. Both the metal and GRP material options are bespoke manufactured to the specific project dimensions to ensure a high standard of fit and finish on site.

For the MDF and plywood casings, durable high pressure laminate (HPL) finishing materials can be specified, while both types are also available with an unfinished, plain surface for decoration on-site if required.

Typically, GRG casings are also supplied unfinished for on-site decoration, and as they are produced using moulds, they can be manufactured to meet any individual project requirements or dimensions.

The choice of finish for all column casings in our range will be partly dependent on their location and the material selected, which must be considered when specifying and ordering.
