Interface Explores Textile Art Aesthetics with New Crafted Connections™ Carpet Tile Collection

Interface, Inc., the global flooring and sustainability leader, today launched its new textile art-inspired carpet tile collection, Crafted Connections™. Featuring rich textures and subtle patterns, the collection brings warmth and character to today’s commercial spaces.
From traditional textures to bouclé and batik styles, woven aesthetics continue to gain favour across commercial environments. Crafted Connections offers three styles illustrating each of these visuals in one coordinated collection: Thread Lightly, Bound to Last, and Dual Effect. Each provides endless possibilities for layered design, with easy zoning and wayfinding across the coordinating styles.
“The craft aesthetic is here to stay. And with Crafted Connections, designers can bring artful expression to the floor,” said Kelly Simcox, Head of Global Design at Interface. “The collection draws inspiration from the loom, with timeless interplay of weft and warp. Its styles subtly nod to the past with a modern take on tradition to meet today’s design needs.”
The collection brings depth and visual interest to the floor, transforming neutral patterns into design statements. Designers can use Crafted Connections to create a refined foundation or introduce subtle accents that define space. Its three styles are designed to work together or stand on their own:
  • Thread Lightly: Captures the sophistication of weaving with a rich texture that brings depth to the floor. It is offered in 18 colourways.
  • Bound to Last: Makes a bold statement, drawing inspiration from outsized bouclé and mid-century tweeds. It is available in nine neutral colourways.
  • Dual Effect: Unites batik style with geometric patterning for modern floors, featuring dotted diagonals over a textured backdrop. It is offered in nine neutral colorways.
Crafted Connections is a low-carbon flooring solution and is Cradle to Cradle Certified® at the Silver level, helping designers make informed procurement decisions and meet project sustainability goals.
The collection includes bio-based materials and 100% recycled content nylon, resulting in a maximum carbon footprint of 2.71 kg CO2e/m2 when paired with the company’s CQuest™Bio backing. Crafted Connections can also be made carbon negative if customers opt for the CQuestBioX backing option.
Additionally, Interface designed Crafted Connections to pair effortlessly across the company’s portfolio of carpet tile, LVT, and nora® rubber. The result is a comprehensive flooring solution that combines design, performance, and sustainability without compromise.
