Keepmoat secures planning to build 185 ‘much needed’ homes in Fairham

Top 10 housebuilder, Keepmoat, has secured planning permission for the next phase of the landmark Fairham development, with approval granted by Rushcliffe Borough Council for 185 new homes.

The regeneration specialist developer will invest more than £28 million to create a range of high quality homes as part of the wider mixed use community on the southern edge of Nottingham.

Set to be delivered in partnership with a local housing association, the scheme will provide a mix of one, two, three and four-bedroom homes including both affordable and open market housing to help meet local demand

Fairham is a landmark 606-acre mixed-use urban extension, delivered through a public-private partnership between Homes England and Clowes Developments.

Once complete, the £800 million development will feature up to 3,000 new homes alongside Fairham Business Park, which will provide up to one million square feet of commercial and logistics space. Plans also include a dedicated primary school, community health centre and more than 200 acres of green parkland and wildlife corridors.

Charlotte Sargeant, Land and Partnerships Director at Keepmoat, East Midlands, said:

“We’re thrilled to be playing a part in the delivery of Fairham, a fantastic scheme to create much needed new homes, jobs and community facilities to the area. This is the first phase of the development that Keepmoat will be involved in, so it’s an exciting opportunity for us to contribute to its long-term vision and help shape a thriving new community.

“Our £28 million investment will deliver a mix of affordable and open-market homes, helping to meet local housing needs while giving more people the opportunity to put down roots in Fairham. We look forward to working with our partners to deliver high-quality, sustainable homes that will form part of this growing community for years to come.”

Keepmoat is a leading partnership homebuilder with a track record of delivering quality new homes across the UK at prices people can afford. Almost 70 per cent of its current developments are on brownfield sites supporting the regeneration of communities across the country.
