A stunning housing development built by leading premium housebuilder Walton Homes played host to a consistency day for LABC Warranty on Wednesday, 19th November.
The event saw 12 LABC Warranty team-members take a full site tour of Walton Homes’ Acresford Park development, a collection of luxury homes in the sought-after village of Handsacre, Staffordshire.
The purpose of the day was to help LABC Warranty managers and surveyors gain a more consistent approach when undertaking inspections and marking for awards, covering a range of primary considerations and construction stages.
The day covered the whole spectrum of the build process of a house, including foundations, block and beam floors, brickwork, superstructure, joists, plastering, services, roof and completion, giving participants a varied selection of construction stages to view.
Thanks to its central location and the forensic focus on quality that underpins all the properties built there, Walton Homes’ Acresford Park development was seen as the perfect location for such an exercise.
Amy Summerton, Managing Director at Walton Homes, commented:
“The LABC Warranty plays a crucial role in ensuring the very highest standards of construction standards are met in new developments.”
“Recognising the vital role LABC Warranty surveyors play in the housebuilder ecosystem, we were absolutely delighted to welcome them to our development at Acresford Park. It was a day full of useful knowledge, and I am glad our homes at Acresford Park were able to play such a key role in it.”
Peter Dunn, Regional Manager for LABC Warranty, leading warranty provider and coordinator of this event, said:
