Orbit has announced the appointment of Matt Mitchell as Business Development Lead – a newly created role to support the expansion of the organisation’s community investment activities.
Matt will be responsible for identifying and securing new funding opportunities, developing partnerships and driving investment into community-based services that deliver measurable outcomes for customers via Orbit’s Better Days programme, helping to increase customers’ access to support, opportunities and services where they are needed most.
Matt joins Orbit with a number of years’ experience in building and developing impactful partnerships and supply chains, most recently as Head of Delivery Partnerships at charity Catch22.
He commented:
“Orbit has a strong reputation for putting customers and communities at the heart of everything it does and I’m excited by the opportunity to build on this work and develop partnerships that unlock new investment and services that grow our reach and strengthen the support available to customers.”
Lucy McGovern, Head of Community Investment and Successful Tenancies added:
“Matt brings significant experience in partnership development, income generation and community investment, making him an excellent fit for this important new role. As customers face increasingly complex challenges, we know that no single organisation can meet those needs alone. Building strong relationships, bringing partners together and connecting customers to the right services is essential if we are to deliver the best possible outcomes for individuals, families and communities. Matt’s appointment will help us expand those partnerships and ensure we continue to provide meaningful support where it is needed most.”
