Simplifying airtightness in offsite and complex build environments, Proshield® from Don & Low delivers dependable performance with minimal installation effort – supporting long-term durability, fire safety, and energy efficiency in modern construction.
In modular and high-rise construction, every product decision matters – from the speed of application to long-term compliance. With Proshield®, architects and contractors obtain a self-adhesive, vapour-permeable membrane that streamlines installation and ensures airtightness across a wide range of substrates – without requiring primers, tapes, or mechanical fixings.
Developed by Don & Low, a leading manufacturer of construction membranes with complete control over core components and quality standards, Proshield® is designed for walls, floors, and roofs. With low vapour resistance and high air barrier performance, Proshield® contributes to energy efficiency by preventing both interior air leakage and exterior air infiltration.
Its three-layer structure includes a 270 g/m² membrane with an adhesive coating and PET release liner, providing high tensile strength and resilience against damage during handling and installation. Proshield® adheres directly to calcium silicate, OSB, fibre cement, gypsum board, steel, concrete, timber, and more – ideal for airtightness in factory-built modules or on-site detailing.
Certified to Class W1 for water resistance, Proshield® withstands over a metre of water under EN 1928 testing. For fire safety, it achieves Class B-s1, d0 when applied to suitable substrates, exceeding the minimum standard for membranes used in higher-risk buildings.
A printed grid simplifies alignment, and the system includes a full suite of matching tapes and preformed corners to support effective airtight detailing at junctions and openings. Don & Low also offers logo customisation, helping clients enhance brand visibility.
With BBA certification underway, a published Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), and comprehensive technical support, Proshield® helps streamline specification while contributing to sustainable and compliant building practices.
