Skyla by Villeroy & Boch: versatile design for contemporary bathroom schemes

As the bathroom continues to evolve into a more considered and design-led part of the home, architects, designers and specifiers are increasingly seeking solutions that combine aesthetic flexibility with practical performance. With Skyla, Villeroy & Boch introduces a bathroom collection developed to meet these demands, offering a versatile design language alongside a wide range of planning options.

Defined by an interplay of soft curves, clean lines and subtle asymmetry, Skyla creates a balanced visual identity that can be adapted across a variety of interior concepts. The collection supports individual expression while maintaining a cohesive architectural character, making it suitable for both residential and hospitality applications.

Flexible design language

At the centre of the collection is the washbasin area, where gently curved basin forms are framed by precise outer lines. This contrast creates a calm, contemporary aesthetic, while the asymmetrical basin geometry also provides practical surface space for everyday use.

Integrated furniture details, including inset fronts, recessed handles and smooth transitions between basin and vanity unit, reinforce the collection’s refined and uncluttered appearance. A curated palette of eight furniture finishes—including Brilliant White, Graphite, Soft Green and Nordic Oak – allows designers to create schemes ranging from minimalist and monochromatic to warmer, more tactile interiors inspired by natural materials.

Adaptable planning options

Skyla is available in six sizes, ranging from compact 550 mm solutions to larger 1200 mm configurations, enabling flexibility across a range of spatial requirements. The collection can be specified for compact guest bathrooms as well as more generous family or hospitality settings.

Vanity units offer generous drawer storage, with optional open shelving available on selected models to provide additional display or access space. These practical features are integrated without compromising the overall visual clarity of the design, supporting bathrooms that are both highly functional and visually cohesive.

Integrated performance

The collection is complemented by matching brassware in Chrome or Matt Black, enabling a coordinated approach across the bathroom. Incorporating water-saving AquaSmart technology, the fittings combine design consistency with responsible resource management.

Skyla also includes coordinating WC options in both rounded and geometric forms, allowing specifiers to further define the character of a scheme. Featuring Villeroy & Boch’s TwistFlush technology, the toilets are designed to deliver efficient water use, high hygiene standards and simplified maintenance.

Bringing together material quality, thoughtful detailing and adaptable design, Skyla provides architects, designers and specifiers with a flexible solution for creating contemporary bathrooms with individual character. Rooted in Villeroy & Boch’s long-standing expertise in ceramics and craftsmanship, the collection responds to evolving expectations of the bathroom as a space shaped equally by function, atmosphere and personal expression.

Skyla can be experienced at Villeroy & Boch’s London Design & Specification Centre at 76 Clerkenwell Road, London EC1M 5QA.
