Paul Eilles, Head of HR at Story Homes, said:
“We are delighted to officially launch our 2026 apprenticeship programme and open these opportunities to people across our regions. Whether you are taking your first steps into the world of work, considering a career change, or looking to formalise your skills with a recognised qualification, an apprenticeship with Story Homes offers a real and rewarding pathway. We look forward to welcoming talented individuals into our business and continuing to invest in the next generation of construction professionals.”
The launch builds on the strong foundation Story Homes has already established. The business currently supports two dedicated apprentices in its North East region – Mae Huscroft and Oliver Robinson – whose experiences reflect the encouraging and hands-on environment the programme is designed to provide.
Mae Huscroft, Architectural Design and Build Apprentice, said:
“Everyone is so supportive. I’ve been given real responsibility, the opportunity to work towards a formal qualification, and the chance to learn from the experience of knowledgeable colleagues, which has been amazing for my confidence and development.”
Oliver Robinson, Commercial Apprentice, added:
“The apprenticeship has given me a great balance of learning and practical experience. I’m developing skills that I know will stay with me throughout my career, learning from experienced colleagues, and working towards a recognised qualification, while also feeling like a valued part of the business.”
In addition to the new roles now available, Story Homes currently supports a further 12 colleagues completing apprenticeships alongside their day-to-day roles, spanning disciplines including Accounting, Construction Site Supervision, Chartered Surveying, Civil Engineering and Public Relations. A further 11 trainee roles are also in place across the business.
Applications for the apprenticeship programme are now open, with a closing date of 17 May. To find out more and to complete an application form, visit: www.storyhomes.co.uk/apprenticeships.
