TrustMark, the only UK Government-Endorsed Quality Scheme for work carried out in and around the home, has achieved a significant milestone of 40 Scheme Providers to help drive-up standards and consumer protection across the home repair, maintenance and improvement (RMI) sector.
The Association of Fencing Industries (AFI) and Guardian Building Systems are the most recent organisations to have achieved TrustMark Scheme Provider status and they have both demonstrated their commitment to meeting and maintaining the operating requirements set out by the quality scheme. This recognition will enable their members, who comply with the required standards of technical competence, trading practices, and customer service, to now become TrustMark Registered Businesses.
Simon Ayers MBE, CEO of TrustMark said: “We are delighted to welcome our latest two new TrustMark Scheme Providers, the AFI and Guardian Building Systems. Together we will continue to raise the standard of work across the RMI sector and improve the protection offered to homeowners. As well as demonstrating commitment to customer service, high standards and continual improvement, all AFI and Guardian Building Systems members who are TrustMark registered, will now be able to give their customers the assurance and confidence that they are choosing the right installer or contractor to do the work on their property and have the appropriate financial protections in place.”
Ross Darcy, Director of Guardian Building Systems said: “Independent verifications of quality and professionalism are crucial in the home improvement market, giving customers peace of mind that they are putting their trust in the right people. Becoming a TrustMark Scheme Provider is a crucial development in how we as a business not only support the Certified Installers of our Warm Roof system, but also drive-up standards across the industry. We are delighted to be part of the Scheme, and we are now looking to expand the work covered for our Certified Installers under TrustMark membership.”
Pete Clark, CEO of the AFI, said: “After several years of membership amendments and enhancing the membership criteria, we are now in a position to deliver for all sectors in fencing, not just construction, highways, and security, but all fencing contractors. This significant achievement highlights the competency and reliability of our members and they have proved they are top professionals in the sector. This will help to drive our membership to have total fencing representation and authority to enhance our campaigns for all in fencing, addressing the issues we face as an industry.”
