Concealing retrofitted fire sprinkler system pipework in social housing tower blocks and low-rise flats is simple quick and cost effective with Encasement’s Versa sprinkler pipe boxing range
Pre-finished with a durable and easy clean resin impregnated decorative paper, Versa sprinkler boxing is manufactured from UKTR compliant plywood in both 5mm and 8mm thicknesses, making it ideal for use in flats or communal areas with standard sprinkler heads or ‘pop-out’ units with caps.
Available in a wide range of sizes, Versa is pre-formed, which helps save on installation time, as there’s no need for on-site fabrication or painting. Versa, just needs cutting to length and secured to the wall or ceiling once holes are drilled for the sprinkler heads.
With our experience of working with contractors on countless social housing pipe-boxing projects, Versa can usually be fitted in less than half the time of site made alternatives.
This makes them very cost effective to install and can also help minimise disruption for tenants due to the shorter timescales involved and reduces the need for multiple site visits, as there’s no painting required.
In addition to covering sprinkler system components to provide a more aesthetic finish to each project, Versa can also act as a visible barrier to potential tampering.
Where specifications require the use of flame retardant boxing to conceal surface mounted fire sprinkler pipework, a flame retardant option, Versa FR, is also available, which is manufactured from certified Euroclass B compliant board.
