WMS, hydronic underfloor heating specialist for new-build developments, has appointed Gail Rees as marketing manager as it strengthens the company’s support for UK housebuilders responding to evolving regulations and changing specification priorities.
A CIM-qualified marketing professional with more than a decade of experience, Gail brings valuable insight into how housebuilders engage with technical product information, specification support and supplier partnerships. Previous experience gathered at Uponor and Caesarstone provides her with a strong understanding of the pressures, priorities and practical needs shaping the housebuilder market.
Gail’s appointment reflects WMS’ focus on remaining closely aligned with the challenges housebuilders are facing as specification decisions become more complex. From efficient, low-temperature underfloor heating in new-build homes to practical guidance on Part L and the incoming Future Homes Standard, WMS is strengthening how it shares clear, relevant insight with the industry. That support includes WMS’ fully CPD-certified sessions, accredited by The CPD Certification Service, Understanding the Future of Low Carbon Homes – Future Homes Standard and Approved Document L 2026 Edition, which are designed to help housebuilders make sense of the new three-metric compliance model.
Commenting on her appointment, Gail said: “I’m excited to have joined the WMS team and build on its strong, long-standing reputation for supporting housebuilders with reliable, well-designed and expertly installed underfloor heating solutions. As the industry prepares for the Future Homes Standard and continues to adapt to changing Building Regulations, housebuilders require clear, practical insight that reflects the realities of delivering homes at scale. My focus is on understanding those challenges and helping ensure WMS’ guidance, content and support are closely aligned with what project teams require at each stage of a development. Thanks to our highly experienced team, WMS is well placed to work alongside housebuilders as they make specification decisions which support the development of future-ready, efficient and thermally comfortable homes.”
Ashley Cooper, Managing Director at WMS, added: “We’re delighted to welcome Gail to the team at an important time for WMS as we continue to enhance the support we provide to housebuilders. Her experience in technical product marketing and her understanding of the housebuilder market will play a key role in how we support customers through the next stage of regulatory change.
“At WMS, we take a proactive, evidence-led approach to helping housebuilders transition to low-carbon heating, bringing together hydronic underfloor heating design, service and installation expertise to support projects from early specification through to the finished plot. Gail will be central to strengthening how we communicate that support and make it easier for customers to specify the best underfloor heating solutions for their developments.”
